MentorMe is adamant about creating relationships with the youth that will better their chances for success. Curious about our process?
Individuals and teams participating in the MentorME program will automatically be matched with a mentor upon qualification. The purpose of this mentorship opportunity is to create collaborative relationships between the professional community and students. Mentors will guide students in their learning process. Students will seek mentor support for improving a proposal, articulating it clearly and convincingly.
MentorMe wants to improve the academic achievement of students through increasing their knowledge and skills, school attendance, and time devoted to schoolwork by providing additional, special, or remedial academic instruction and guidance.
Workshops are led by experienced professionals, faculty and staff from departments throughout the organization and are designed to provide a forum for discussing effective teaching. Most workshops are offered monthly based on interest. If you would like to attend two workshops that meet at the same time, you should be able to find the same workshop offered at another time.
It's about demonstrating confidence: standing straight, making eye contact and connecting with a handshake. That first nonverbal impression can be a great beginning—or quick ending—to your interview.
Today's casual dress code do not give you permission to dress as "they" do when you interview. It is important to know what to wear to an interview and to be well-groomed. In fact, you want to show your personal side and well-reasoned ideas, because that helps make you more interesting and memorable. Just remember: You’re doing this for your career. Tre
Money management is the process of knowing where you are spending your money today and having a well-thought-out plan in place for where you want it to go in the future. This program will cover the core concepts of money management and teach you how to:
Assessment is key to creating a more student-centered classroom. Before proceeding, though, I want to clarify what I mean by assessment. I don't mean testing, nor do I mean grading. Unfortunately this term (as well as other terms like data-driven instruction) has been hijacked to mean more testing and knowing students only in terms of their test scores. We know this is unacceptable and does not meet the needs of all students.
The after school snack component of MentorMe Program is a privately funded assisted snack service that fills the afternoon hunger gap for school children. We want to bridge the gap for those children that do not have the ability to afford an after school snack program.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
